Total director says company to halve costs for Tyra field

Once the new Tyra field is ready come mid-2022, extracting oil and gas from the underground will become noticeably cheaper for oil major Total, Managing Director of E&P Denmark Patrick Gilly says in an interview with EnergyWatch.

The DKK 21 billion (EUR 2.8 billion) provided by Danish Underground Consortium (DUC) to reestablish and improve the Tyra field are well spent. Production quality certainly leaves nothing to be desired, assesses Patrick Gilly, managing director for Total's Danish North Sea operations, talking to EnergyWatch during a visit to the Tyra field.
