Norwegian oil company wants to be almost half green

Oil service company Aker Solutions sets out on a new strategy to source almost half its revenue in 2030 from renewable power sales. Floating offshore wind seems a suitable candidate for the Norwegian company.

Aker Solutions is an oil and gas company, and this designation will still be appropriate in 2030 if the company realizes its ambitions. But when the coming decade has passed, a considerable part of its capital will come from green alternatives. From 2030, Aker Solutions aims to make 20 percent of its money from renewable energy sales and 25 percent from low-carbon sources.
