Media says "crushing sanctions" await Nord Stream 2 companies

A pipelaying company working on the Nord Stream 2 project has received a written warning from US Senator Ted Cruz. The company is to cease work on the gas pipeline now to avoid consequences, writes media Montel.

If Swiss pipelaying specialist The Allseas Group doesn't drop its engagement with Russian-German gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 at once, the company will be hit by "crushing and potentially fatal legal and economic sanctions", warned US Senator Ted Cruz in a letter sent to the contractor, according to news outlet Montel.
