Spirit leaves Denmark in massive deficit

The British oil hunter was hit by a a major financial setback last year, when the oil price suffered under market conditions. Since then, the corona crisis arrived, forcing a production halt of Sprit's Chestnut asset.

British oil company Spirit Energy last year exchanged a 2018 profit of GBP 191 million to a deficit of GBP 271 million, according to the financial statement the company has submitted to Companies House – the British government office for businesses.
