Germany to set up foundation to complete Nord Stream 2

According to Reuters, Germany's federal government is considering establishing a public foundation in order to confound US attempts to thwart the completion of gas pipeline Nord Stream 2.

A real geopolitical game is being played these days concerning Nord Stream 2, which may or may not be facing imminent completion.

While the US persists in its threat to sanction all players with a mind to complete the natural gas pipeline between Russia and Germany, the German federal government now appears to be pushing back against pressure from across the Atlantic.
