Equinor pulls plug on Veslefrikk

Three major decommissioning jobs will be tendered upon an Equinor-led consortium's decision to shut down the field after production of more than 400 million boepd.

The latest highlight within the offshore energy sector involves concrete construction. Establishment of Denmark's artificial energy islands, the first of which now stands to be set up in the Danish North Sea and planned to take place using caissons containing up to a million tonnes of cement, although some in the industry would have rather seen steel platforms used as offshore wind turbine hubs.
