Equinor awards decom contract for two oil platforms

The Norwegian oil company has given a contract to Dutch Heerema Marine Contractors, which had already engaged Aker Solutions as project partner, to dismantle three offshore installations at the Heimdal and Veslefrikk oil fields and recycle 98 percent of the structural material. The agreement is worth somewhere between EUR 200,000-700,000.

Equinor has tasked the Netherlands' Heerema Marine Contractors with dismantling and removing both topsides and jacket foundations from Equinor's Heimdal field and the Veslefrikk A platform in the Norwegian North Sea.
