Total takes FID on major project in Africa

The oil giant has made its final investment decision for the Lake Albert project in Uganda and Tanzania for which the company paid USD 575m last year.

Total and project partners China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) and Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) have taken their final investment decision for their big Lake Albert development, Total announced Sunday at an inaugural ceremony.
