EU agrees on sanctions against Russia

Sanctions against banks and limiting Russia’s access to trade with the EU are among the measures taken by the union.

The European Union's member states have unanimously agreed on a proposal that includes sanctions on banks financing the Russian military as well as limitations on Russia’s access to trade with the union, according to a statement.
