EU: Swifter wind and solar build-out can replace 20 billion m3 of Russian gas this year

In its action plan for how to reduce dependence on Russian gas, the European Commission sees renewables play the second-largest role in the short run, with green hydrogen taking center stage in the long term. However, the principal solution is liquefied natural gas.
