ExxonMobil invests big in Australia

The US supermajor has decided to invest USD 295m on expanding a gas operation in Australia.

ExxonMobil has taken a final investment decision to spend USD 295m on extracting more natural gas from offshore field Kipper in Australian waters, reports media Energy Voice.

The investment will, according to the oil outfit, ensure 200PJ of gas over the next five years.

According to Australian oil and gas lobby Appea, the domestic industry attracted USD 27bn worth of investments last year.
