TotalEnergies launches large-scale CCUS project in Belgium

The French supermajor has signed an MoU with the aim of full decarbonization of a Belgian cement plant. CO2 captured at the site can both be stored in the North Sea and used for green fuels.

TotalEnergies is one of the signers of a Memorandum of Understanding intended to ensure full decarbonization of the Belgian cement company Holcim’s facilities in Obourg, Belgium, with Holcim being the other party to the agreement.
