TotalEnergies, Ineos enter fray for carbon storage in Denmark

The Danish Energy Agency has received two applications for the tender on carbon storage in the North Sea prior to this weekend’s deadline. if the applications are given the go-ahead, licenses are expected to be issued in early 2023.

Two applications have been filed to the Danish Energy Agency in connection with the first tender for carbon storage, which initially is aimed at storage in the North Sea.
