EU green-lights new LNG terminal in Germany

A German bank and a Dutch network operator are approved by the European Commission for joint ownership of a German firm which will run an import and distribution terminal for liquefied natural gas in northern Germany.

German state-owned development bank KfW and Dutch gas system operator Gasunie have secured permission from the European Commission to take over and run company German LNG Terminal GmbH (GLNG).
