Phase one of Equinor's Norwegian LNG satellite field is underway

Equinor’s build-out of the Snøhvit field has begun. The Askeladd satellite field will have an output of 18 billion cubic meters of gas for the Hammerfest LNG facility.

Phase one of satellite field Askeladd has begun, ensuring additional gas for Norwegian and European gas customers, Equinor reports in a press release. The oil and gas company operates the Askeladd field as well as the Snøhvit field, to which it is connected.
