Equinor restarts Norwegian oil field after big upgrade

The oil company has resumed operations at a Norwegian offshore oil field after reinstalling both platform and storage ship.

As of Tuesday, the Njord field in the Norwegian Sea is back in operation after an extensive upgrade of the facility’s platform, and floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO), with the field’s lifecycle now set to last another 20 years, Equinor informs in a press statement.
