Fortum and Rolls-Royce to build small modular reactors in Finland
The two companies will carry out feasibility studies on deployment of small modular reactors (SMR) in Finland and Sweden. Conclusions are expected to land within a few years.

As part of Fortum’s Nuclear Feasibility Study which was launched in November 2022, the Finnish utility has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with US Rolls-Royce SMR.
