Türkiye commences extractions from Black Sea gas field

Three years after the discovery of a gas field in the Black Sea, Türkiye is about to begin extracting the first cubic meters of gas just ahead of the presidential election in May.

President Recep Erdogan runs for re-election in Türkiye in May and hopes to benefit from opening a new gas field.

Thursday, Türkiye will make the inaugural deliveries from the Black Sea-located gas field Sakarya, reports Financial Times.
