Oil billionaire sues EU and two countries for energy tax

The owner of Kalundborg Refinery, known in the 1980s as a ”vulture capitalist”, has filed a lawsuit against the EU, Germany and Denmark for a special tax on energy, demanding EUR 95m.

Billionaire Gary Klesch, who owns the largest refineries in Germany and Denmark in the form of Heide and Kalundborg Refinery, has filed a lawsuit against the EU, Denmark and Germany over an additional tax of EUR 95m, writes Danish business daily Børsen.
