Total CEO: "What can Ørsted do for me?"

The French oil major will continue to focus on renewable energy because, according to the CEO, it will lead to higher energy prices. But oil and gas remain the most important parts of Total.

Over the past few years, there have been several speculations about an acquisition of Ørsted. On several occasions, there has been speculation from the Norwegian side that Equinor had plans to buy the Danish energy company, while it was most recently revealed in January that German RWE had been considering acquiring the beleaguered offshore wind developer.
