The US Army has entered into an unlikely alliance with Native American tribe Standing Rock Sioux to put an end to the controversial oil pipeline Dakota Access.
Now the pipeline may not end up being used at all. At least, the company behind the pipeline – Energy Transfer Partners – has previously announced that they will not continue with the project if their proposed route for the pipeline is not approved. Which is exactly what seems to be happening now.
