Russian gas is flowing to the EU and Turkey like never before

Gazprom's export business is booming in southern and eastern Europe this winter.

European sanctions against Russia and a tense situation between Turkey and Russia after the Russian ambassador was killed in Turkey in December do not seem to have affected gas sales from Russia to Europe.

After a record year for Russian gas exports to Turkey and the EU in 2016, the first weeks of 2017 brought even greater demand for Russian gas, according to new figures from Russian gas giant Gazprom.
