Majority of Danish politicians want to reject Russian gas pipeline

Politicians believe that geopolitical and security considerations should be factored in to Denmark's decision to reject or approve Gazprom's application for a gas pipeline, slated to run through Danish territorial waters.

Across the Danish political spectrum, politicians support the government's stance on changing the law so that security and foreign policy interests can also be taken into account when considering Russia's application for a gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea. The support includes center-left opposition parties Socialdemokratiet and Radikale.
