
Across the Danish political spectrum, politicians support the government's stance on changing the law so that security and foreign policy interests can also be taken into account when considering Russia's application for a gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea. The support includes center-left opposition parties Socialdemokratiet and Radikale.
"Unfortunately, we are in a situation where Russian is taking the wrong route and in many ways working against our interests in Ukraine, Syria, and within their own region," says foreign affairs spokesperson for Radikale, Martin Lidegaard.
