European renewable energy investments down 50 percent over six years

While Europe and the US are spending less on renewable energy projects, China has significantly increased its spending. Globally, however, renewable energy investments have almost halted.

Even though US President Donald Trump is trying the breathe a bit of life back into the US coal industry, the global energy sector is in the process of a slow but steady green transition. The 'blackest' energy forms are being banished to the historic junk yard while renewable energy is on the rise.
