Owners buy power from new Siemens Gamesa farm

A Dutch utility, which is among the developers of Belgium's largest offshore wind farm, has entered a power purchase agreement for the production of 487 MW.

The installation of Belgium's largest offshore wind farm, the 487 MW Seamade, will begin next year. The largest share of the EUR 1.3 billion investment is borne by the Otary consortium, which owns 70 percent of the project, while Engie and Eneco are participating as junior partners with 17.5 and 12.5 percent ownership shares, respectively.
