Commissioner approves new aid scheme for renewable energy in Lithuania

Lithuania has received approval for its new support scheme for renewable energy projects from the EU Commission. The scheme has a budget of EUR 385 million.

Following approval from the EU Commission, a new aid scheme will be implemented in Lithuania from May 1, 2019. The goal is to support renewable energy projects, so that Lithuania may reach its 38 percent renewable energy target by 2025.
