E-fuel plant marks next step in Danish PtX efforts

Denmark's first eMethanol plant is now operational in northern city Aalborg. The facility produces hydrogen from renewable energy and now becomes a factor in biogas production.

The so-called Power2Met facility near Aalborg University, Northern Denmark, has delivered its first drops of eMethanol. Behind the work stand companies including Reintegrate and Green Hydrogen Systems, which with this demonstration project produces e-fuels in the form of methanol from hydrogen and carbon dioxide, as confirmed by the center Hydrogen Valley in a press release.
