US expands punitive tariff to European wind turbine towers

Lacking response from Vestas has prompted the US Department of Commerce to preliminarily determine imposing a punitive import levy on wind turbine towers made in Spain. The move will end up hurting European OEMs, says chief analyst.

Southeast Asian countries are not alone in being accused of dumping prices and getting hit with punitive tariffs. The same thing now seems set to apply to at least seven wind turbine tower manufacturers in Spain.
