Biden infrastructure plan seeks USD 571bn in transport funds

US President Joe Biden proposed an infrastructure bill seeking extra funds above a half trillion dollars to fix existing problems with roads and bridges in addition to expanding other projects including public transport initiatives and an electric vehicle network.

President Joe Biden’s proposed infrastructure bill calls for USD 571bn in additional transportation spending over current federal levels, and USD 50bn to make infrastructure more resilient to climate change, according to White House documents sent to Capitol Hill that were reviewed by Bloomberg News.
