Germany accelerates wind energy efforts

New draft legislation raises Germany's ambitions for installed wind capacity by 24 GW ahead of 2030.

Germany's federal government plans to accelerate the national build-out of wind and photovoltaic energy before 2030 as part of its climate change mitigation program, reports Reuters Wednesday citing a draft bill seen by the news agency.
