
Almost six months after US President Joe Biden's government approved the country's first major commercial offshore wind farm, Vineyard Wind, the administration decides to accelerate developments.
The federal Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has announced intentions to hold seven new auctions before 2025. The plans were presented Wednesday during the American Clean Power Association's (ACP) Offshore Wind Power conference in Boston, Massachusetts, where Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland brought the news to the industry.
