German states urge Berlin to temper gas price

While the federal government rejects setting a joint price ceiling on natural gas, Germany’s state governments are pressuring Berlin to take domestic action.

Wednesday this week, prime ministers of German federal states reached an accord to raise a joint appeal with Berlin urging a price cap on natural gas to offer some respite to strained rate payers, reports Euractiv.
