Europe's investments in new wind energy rivaled 2009 levels

Last year’s investments in new wind added a mere 10GW to global capacity, but a total of 31GW of new wind capacity is needed each year to reach 2030 targets, warns Wind Europe CEO.

Europe invested a mere EUR 17bn in new wind farms in 2022, a severe dip from EUR 41bn in 2021 and the lowest levels since 2009.
