EU council agrees on energy consumption reduction targets
Energy consumption must be reduced by 11.7% by 2030 in Europe. This is now set in stone, but member states have some flexibility in reaching the target.
EU member states must jointly ensure a reduction in final energy consumption of at least 11.7% in 2030 compared to the energy consumption projections for 2030 that were made in 2020.
