Europe is far from meeting electricity interconnection target

The EU’s minimum target of ensuring at least 70% of grid capacity is open to neighboring countries is far from being met, and this is a problem, a new EU report concludes.

The target of having 70% minimum amount of capacity on interconnectors available for electricity trading between EU neighbours is still far from being met in many EU countries.
