New US Secretary of Energy close to being appointed

Donald Trump has narrowed the field to four candidates for the position of Secretary of Energy. One is former Texas governor Rick Perry.

When Rick Perry was asked to name the three departments he would shut down if he was elected president, during the Republican primary election in 2011, he could only remember two. The video clip of Perry, who completely blanked out, was the event that cost him the nomination as Republican presidential candidate, according to several media. However, now the former Texas governor is once again in the running for a top job in Washington DC. He seems to be a leading candidate to head the department that he could not remember he wanted to shut down: The US Department of Energy.
