US governor backs green energy in Ohio with veto
Donald Trump's last Republican rival, John Kasich, has rejected a bill in his home state which would freeze the development of green energy by a further two years.
The governor of the US state of Ohio, John Kasich, has vetoed a legislative proposal that would freeze the development of green energy in the state. The proposal, which was voted in by both chambers of the state congress in August, would prolong an existing freeze on a law binding Ohio's energy suppliers to draw a minimum 12.5 percent of their electricity from green sources in 2027. From then on, it would be voluntary.
