EU Parliament approves new scale for energy labels

All that remains is a final formal approval from the EU energy ministers, and a new scale for energy labels will be good to go, after the EU Parliament voted in favor of a proposal to remove the categories from A+ and up.


This Tuesday, a large majority in the EU Parliament voted in favor of a proposal which will change the classification for energy labels for household appliances, writes the parliament in a press release. Only one official approval from the EU's council of ministers is needed before the proposal can be realized.
