Danish minister shoots down wind industry's subsidy dreams

A battle has erupted between the Danish energy minister and the Danish Wind Industry Association ahead of negotiations for a new onshore wind subsidy program. The minister calls the industry's model a self-serving campaign, while the association says the minister's calculations are a mess.

Danish Minister for Energy, Utilities, and Climate, Lars Christian Lilleholt, has no intention of appeasing the country's wind turbine industry when the Danish Wind Industry Association presents an alternative proposal for a two-year subsidy program, reports Danish business media Børsen.
