Denmark protects diesel cars and blocks electric vehicles

The Danish government will turn the country into a vehicle graveyard with its newest legislative proposal for lower car tariffs, says Denmark's biggest electric vehicle operator.

Denmark's government and supporting party Dansk Folkeparti (DF) entered a deal Thursday evening CET, in which the registration fee for cars will be altered, making the smallest cars a little more expensive, as medium-sized and luxury vehicles will be significantly cheaper, including diesel cars. The deal does not mention electric cars.
