Media: EU Commission preparing more ambitious climate targets

It is not enough to shave CO2 emissions by 80 percent before 2050, says the EU Commission, which is allegedly in the process of working on a plan to secure even lower emissions.

Before the EU Commission's latest climate plan is even locked in via the EU legislative process, the bloc is already preparing new initatives. According to Euractiv, the commission is preparing to publish a plan dedicated to achieving climate neutrality in the EU by 2050.
