Siemens Gamesa to dismiss more than every fifth employee

The wind turbine manufacturer has announced the dismissal of up to 6,000 employees with immediate effect. It is not yet known where the jobs will be cut.

Up to 6,000 employees will be dismissed from Siemens Gamesa, announced the wind turbine manufacturer Monday night in relation to the release of a report, which delivered disappointing figures even relative to the forecast downgrade just three weeks ago. The firing round corresponds to between every fourth or fifth employee of the company's close-to 27,000 staff.
