Fortum launches first Russian wind farm

The Finnish utility will install 1,000 MW Vestas farms in Russia in collaboration with a Russian company. Russia's first project has now begun operations, albeit with Chinese turbines.

Russia's first commercial wind farm has launched operations. The Ulyanovsk project, installed near the city of the same name in the southwestern part of the country, will be included in active capacity registers from this January, announces project developer Fortum.
