Turbulence at Siemens Gamesa hits at worst possible time
With the merger between Danish-German Siemens Wind Power and Spain's Gamesa, the idea was to create the dream team in wind power. Instead, it seems that the company has found itself in the midst of internal division while the global wind market has dialed up competition.
ANALYSIS: Popular and competent managers had to give up their jobs to Spanish employees in order to achieve a fragile, political balance. Specialists are actively seeking jobs with competitors, and other employees are openly stating their – negative – thoughts about the merger on social media , while they are herded through rounds of layoffs.
