MHI Vestas to be turbine partner in Vietnam

The turbine manufacturer is joining forces with DNV GL in a Southeast Asian alliance, which plans to construct offshore wind of 1,200 MW off of Vietnam ahead to 2023.

Danish/Japanese MHI Vestas is headed into a new market. The offshore wind turbine manufacturer is now a technology partner in a new alliance with the aim of constructing offshore wind projects off the southeast coast of Vietnam. Specifically, the parties have selected an area in the development zone Ke Ga, which will be developed over several phases from preliminary studies to construction.
