Siemens Gamesa puts figures on German layoffs

The turbine producer's employees in Northern Germany, in particular, are hit by the layoffs. Germany and Denmark will remain crucial for offshore wind, says the CEO, while the new nacelle factory in Cuxhaven has dodged dismissals.

Siemens Gamesa's German employees look set to escape fairly mercifully from the company's latest round of dismissals. In total, the wind turbine manufacturer will dismiss up to 213 of its approximately 1,900 employees in Germany over the period up to November 2019.
