Vestas is moving its test activities along in West Medina Mills in the UK to the nearby St. Cross facility on the Isle of Wight to create space for a future expansion of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, announced the wind turbine manufacturer Thursday morning.

According to Vestas the move will begin this week and some of Vestas' staff will continue their work along West Medina Mills.

Vestas currently employs 130 employees on the Isle of Wight.

MHI Vestas is owned 50-50 by Vestas and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
