Fortum and Rusnano enter Russian deal for 450 MW

Fortum and Rusnano have signed a cooperation agreement with Russian province Kalmykia, which will furnish land for a sizeable potion of the joint venture's secured capacity.

Finnish energy company Fortum and Russian Rusnano will over the coming years install 1.8 GW in wind energy capacity in Russia. This stems from the prior allocations from Russian onshore wind tenders in which the joint venture has participated. The company now appears to have secured site placement for at least 450 MW of the total capacity.
