Poland confirms plan for 8 GW offshore wind

After several years of standstill, Poland's government is opening up for onshore and offshore wind, where a minister sees the possibility of adding up to 10 GW ahead to 2035. He denies that the construction is connected to a Danish gas pipeline.

When the Polish Law and Justice Party took power in 2015, it was ominous news for the wind industry. From Europe's second-largest market for several years, development reached a standstill due to several draconian laws introduced by the nationalist-conservative party. However, now Poland has a different attitude to wind.
