Goldwind matches Siemens Gamesa in China

China-based Goldwind boosts its offshore efforts substantially with three new offshore turbines, and an onshore turbine suited for low wind speeds is also added to the portfolio.

Goldwind makes a substantial boost in its offshore wind efforts. The China-based manufacturer launches two new offshore turbines at 6.45 MW and one rated at 8 MW, which has obtained a design certificate, and a new prototype installation is expected in the second half of 2019, announces the company. Furthermore, a new offshore wind turbine, GW155-3.3MW, is being launched, and its large rotors are designed to attract orders, especially in the south-eastern part of the country characterized by low wind conditions and high demand, announces the company.
